C.W. Downer & Co. is now ALANTRA – the global mid-market specialist

You may remember that in April 2016, C.W. Downer & Co. completed its merger with N+1, a leading European corporate finance and asset management firm. Today, we move forward together under a new global brand: ALANTRA. It was a difficult decision to transition from the C.W. Downer name with its 40+ year history as a leading cross-border M&A advisory firm. But we are excited for this new chapter to begin. We are now one firm. And one brand.

As ALANTRA, we operate in 19 countries, with 345 professionals, 57 partners and we have closed 368 corporate finance transactions since 2013. We also manage and advise assets on behalf of 80 institutional investors and 450 family groups. And this is just the beginning.

We are excited to unite behind our new brand and what it stands for both in terms of expanding the capabilities we offer our clients and growing our US presence. We just returned from a Partners’ meeting in Europe where we received enthusiastic and unanimous support on our US growth strategy. Over the next 12 months, we will add to our US team both geographically and in terms of sector specialization and we are confident that our growth project will be attractive for leading middle-market professionals.
