ContactOut pricing starts at 49 USD a month for the Email plan and 99 USD a month for Email + Phone, as of September 2026, if your plan includes US and UK contact data. Leave that data out and the same plans cost 25 and 49 USD. The page labels these prices “Limited time only” against struck-through list prices of 99 and 199 USD.
Emails and phones are sold as “unlimited”, but a fair use policy, a monthly export cap and a one-user-per-company rule set the real ceiling.
ContactOut pricing at a glance (September 2026)
ContactOut publishes monthly prices for three of its four plans. A toggle switches between plans that include US and UK data and cheaper plans that exclude it.
| Plan | Price a month, with US/UK data | Without US/UK data | Emails and phones | Exports and users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 USD | 0 USD | 5 emails and 5 phones a day | 5 exports a day; 1 user |
| 49 USD (list 99 USD) | 25 USD | Unlimited emails, fair use | 300 a month; 1 user | |
| Email + Phone | 99 USD (list 199 USD) | 49 USD | Unlimited emails and phones, fair use | 600 a month; 1 user |
| Team / API | not published (“Contact Us”) | not published | Bulk license, “700million+ profiles” | Contact sales; team features |

If you sell into the United States, the 25 and 49 USD prices do not apply to you: they exclude US and UK data. Our render of the page opened on that cheaper toggle by default, so check which one you are looking at.
ContactOut plans explained
ContactOut’s self-serve plans differ in three things: phone numbers, the export cap and a few features. All of them allow one user per company.
Free: 0 USD
Free gives you 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day, with the browser extension, the search portal and a trial of premium features.
- Who it fits: a recruiter or rep checking the data on people whose details they already know.
Email: 49 USD a month
Email adds unlimited emails under fair use, 300 exports a month, email campaigns and a list builder. It has no phone numbers. Without US/UK data it costs 25 USD.
- Who it fits: one recruiter emailing candidates, or one seller who never calls.
- Limit that matters: 300 exports a month, about 15 a working day.
Email + Phone: 99 USD a month
Email + Phone adds unlimited phones under fair use, 600 exports a month, data enrichment and an AI email writer. Without US/UK data it costs 49 USD.
- Who it fits: one person who calls and emails up to about 30 new people a working day.
- Limit that matters: the 600 exports and the 1,000 phone credits a month, per account.
Team / API: custom quote
Team / API is “Contact Us”. It lists “20% more data coverage”, a bulk license, Salesforce and applicant tracking system (ATS) integrations, team management and reports, and a dedicated account manager. The site menu also advertises “Unlimited sales users for $299”, with no billing period or terms shown next to it.
- Who it fits: recruiting and sales teams of 2 or more, or anyone who needs the API.
What “unlimited” means on ContactOut
Unlimited on ContactOut means unlimited lookups inside four limits. ContactOut’s terms cap its paid unlimited plans at “2,000 email credits per account per month and 1,000 phone credits per account per month”, unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

- Exports: 300 a month on Email, 600 on Email + Phone. ContactOut does not define an export on the pricing page, so ask whether pushing a contact to your CRM or applicant tracking system counts.
- Fair use: the 2,000 and 1,000 credit caps apply per account, not per user.
- Users: one user per company on Free, Email and Email + Phone.
- Misses: whether a lookup that finds nothing uses a credit is not published.
What one ContactOut contact really costs
A ContactOut contact costs 0.16 to 0.17 USD if you use every export on a paid plan, and 0.99 USD if you use only 100 contacts a month on Email + Phone. With a flat plan, your usage sets the unit cost.
| Plan and usage | Math | Cost per contact |
|---|---|---|
| Email + Phone, 100 contacts used | 99 / 100 | 0.99 USD |
| Email + Phone, all 600 exports | 99 / 600 | 0.17 USD |
| Email, all 300 exports | 49 / 300 | 0.16 USD |
| Email + Phone, 1,000 phones revealed | 99 / 1,000 | 0.10 USD per phone |
| Without US/UK data, all 600 exports | 49 / 600 | 0.08 USD |

For comparison, a Scalelist mobile costs 20 credits, or 0.65 to 1.16 USD depending on the plan, and only when one is found. On list price per phone, ContactOut is cheaper for a single user who uses most of the plan.
Worked examples: what a month of ContactOut costs
Here is what three common workloads cost at list price with US/UK data. Scalelist is shown under its own credit rules for reference.
Example 1: 500 emails and 100 mobiles, one person. Dana, a sourcer at a staffing firm in Columbus, Ohio, emails 500 candidates and calls the 100 best fits.
- ContactOut Email + Phone: 500 exports fit under 600: 99 USD a month.
- Scalelist: 500 leads (500 credits) + 500 emails (500) + 100 mobiles (2,000) = 3,000 credits, on the 5,000-credit plan at 199 USD a month.
Example 2: 300 mobiles to call, one person.
- ContactOut Email + Phone: 300 phones out of 1,000, 300 exports: 99 USD a month.
- Scalelist: 300 leads + 300 mobiles = 6,300 credits, on the 10,000-credit plan at 349 USD a month.
Example 3: three recruiters sharing 1,500 contacts, 300 of them with mobiles.
- ContactOut: self-serve plans stop at 1 user per company, so this needs a Team quote: not published.
- Scalelist: 1,500 leads + 1,500 emails + 300 mobiles = 9,000 credits, on the 10,000-credit plan at 349 USD a month, with no seats.

The honest read: for one person, ContactOut is cheaper than Scalelist on both workloads. The comparison changes when a second person needs access, when you need more than 600 contacts a month, or when you want to pay only for what is found.
Hidden ContactOut costs and contract terms
ContactOut’s prices are public, but the costs to check sit in the toggle, the caps and the terms. These come from its pricing page and terms of use.

- US/UK data toggle. The 50% discount applies only when you exclude US and UK data.
- “Limited time only”. The discounted prices sit next to list prices of 99 and 199 USD. ContactOut does not say when the offer ends.
- Export caps and fair use. 300 or 600 exports a month; 2,000 email and 1,000 phone credits per account a month.
- One user per company. Every self-serve plan. A team needs a quote.
- No annual price. Only monthly prices are shown.
- Team and API contracts. Subscribers are governed by a separate “Subscription Agreement” that prevails over the website terms.
- Data you submit. Section 5 of the terms, titled “Data sharing and rights for free or subsidized users”, gives ContactOut a perpetual license to data you provide, including the right to share it with “our customers, business partners, and service providers”, unless a Premium Services Agreement supersedes it.
Is ContactOut worth it?
ContactOut is worth it for one recruiter or seller who finds people one profile at a time and uses most of 300 to 600 exports a month. It is a weaker fit for teams, for list building at volume and for anyone who wants to pay per contact found.
ContactOut fits you if:
- You work alone, or each person can buy a separate account.
- You reveal 10 to 30 new people a working day in a browser extension.
- You want a flat monthly price with no credit math.
- You push contacts to Greenhouse, Lever, Bullhorn, Salesforce or HubSpot, which ContactOut lists as integrations.
Look elsewhere if:
- Two or more people need the same account.
- You start from a description of your buyer or a CSV of thousands of names.
- You want misses to cost nothing, with the rule written down.
- You do not want the data you upload licensed to your vendor.
ContactOut claims “200M emails, 100M phone, 40M company records.” It was not part of our own provider benchmark, so test it on your own list. For the head-to-head, read Scalelist vs ContactOut.
Cheaper or better-fit ContactOut alternatives
Three tools publish prices you can set against ContactOut pricing: Scalelist for mobiles charged only when found with no seats, RocketReach for flat lookups refunded on a miss, and FullEnrich for pay-on-success mobiles with unlimited users. For 500 emails and 100 mobiles a month, FullEnrich is the cheapest of the four and ContactOut is second.
| Tool | Entry price | Email / mobile cost | Charged on a miss | Seats and contract |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scalelist | 29 USD a month (500 credits) | 1 credit / 20 credits | No, only when found | Monthly or yearly, no seats |
| RocketReach | 27 USD a month billed annually (email only) | 1 lookup per contact; phones from Pro | No, lookup refunded | Monthly or annual, per seat |
| FullEnrich | 29 USD a month (500 credits) | 1 credit / 10 credits | No, only when found | Monthly or yearly, unlimited users |
| ContactOut | 49 USD a month (Email, with US/UK data) | Unlimited under fair use; phones from 99 USD | not published | Monthly; 1 user per company |

Scalelist
- What it is: Scalelist, an AI lead finder. You describe the people you want in one sentence and get them back with verified work emails and mobile numbers.
- Pricing: 29 USD a month for 500 credits up to 649 USD for 20,000 credits, no seats, 2 months free on yearly billing, and unused credits roll over up to 2x while you are subscribed. See Scalelist plans and credits.
- Mobile numbers: 20 credits per mobile found (1.16 USD on the 500-credit plan down to 0.65 USD on the 20,000-credit plan), 1 credit per email, 0 on a miss. In our 8-provider benchmark, Scalelist found a phone number for 87% of a North American founder list.
- 500 emails + 100 mobiles a month: 199 USD.
- Best for: teams that share one credit pool and build lists from a sentence or a CSV. The Scalelist Chrome extension also finds emails and mobiles on company websites and profile pages.
- Where it falls short: for one person at list price, it costs more than ContactOut, and there are no unlimited emails.
RocketReach
- What it is: a self-serve contact lookup tool sold per seat, with phone numbers on Pro and Ultimate.
- Pricing: Essentials (email only) is 27 USD a month billed annually or 49 USD monthly; Pro, with phones, is 69 USD a month billed annually or 99 USD monthly. Full breakdown: RocketReach plans and lookups.
- Mobile numbers: no separate phone price; a lookup covers email and phone on Pro and Ultimate, and is refunded if nothing is found and verified.
- 500 emails + 100 mobiles a month: 500 lookups need Ultimate: 209 USD monthly, or 142 USD a month billed annually.
- Best for: recruiters and sellers who want lookups refunded on a miss and Bullhorn, Salesforce or HubSpot integrations.
- Where it falls short: monthly lookups are capped, and pooled team credits need a custom plan from 6,000 USD a year.
FullEnrich
- What it is: an enrichment tool that finds work emails and mobile numbers for contacts you upload or search, with unlimited users on every plan.
- Pricing: 29 USD a month for 500 credits, or 26 USD a month billed yearly, up to 3,500 USD for 100,000 credits a month. Full breakdown: FullEnrich plans and credits.
- Mobile numbers: 10 credits per mobile found, 1 per work email, nothing charged when nothing is found.
- 500 emails + 100 mobiles a month: 1,500 credits: 79.50 USD monthly or 71 USD a month billed yearly.
- Best for: teams that want pay-on-success mobiles without per-user pricing.
- Where it falls short: monthly-plan credits expire after 3 months, and FullEnrich says it has no contact database of its own.
Also worth pricing: Lusha plans and credit costs for a self-serve extension with 1 to 5 seats, and Hunter.io pricing if you only ever need emails. For quote-only enterprise data, see ZoomInfo pricing. The full list is in our ContactOut alternatives guide.
Run 20 contacts through Scalelist and pay only for what it finds.
Get 20 credits to test itHow to buy ContactOut smart
The right ContactOut plan is the one where you use most of the exports every month. These steps apply ContactOut’s published rules.
- Set the toggle first. If you contact people in the US or UK, compare the “Include US/UK Data” prices only.
- Test on Free. Spend the 5 daily emails and phones on people whose details you already have.
- Size the plan in exports. New people a working day x 20: Email covers 15 a day, Email + Phone 30.
- Ask what “Limited time only” means. Get the price you will renew at in writing.
- Ask what counts as an export. And whether a lookup with no result uses fair use credits.
- Check the data terms. If you will upload candidate or customer lists, ask whether your plan comes with an agreement that supersedes section 5.
- Test the data. Run the same 100 contacts through ContactOut and one alternative with our data provider bake-off method.

FAQ
How much does ContactOut cost per month?
ContactOut costs 49 USD a month for the Email plan and 99 USD a month for Email + Phone when the plan includes US and UK data, as of September 2026. Without US/UK data, the same plans cost 25 and 49 USD. Free costs 0 USD, and Team / API is priced by quote. The page labels these prices “Limited time only”.
Is ContactOut really unlimited?
Not fully. Paid plans list unlimited emails and phones, but ContactOut’s terms cap them at 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account per month under a fair use policy. Exports are capped at 300 a month on Email and 600 on Email + Phone, and self-serve plans allow one user per company.
Why is ContactOut cheaper without US and UK data?
ContactOut sells two versions of each paid plan. “Exclude US/UK Data” is marked 50% off: 25 USD for Email and 49 USD for Email + Phone, against 49 and 99 USD with US/UK data. If you prospect or recruit in the United States or the UK, the cheaper version does not cover those contacts.
Does ContactOut have a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan costs 0 USD and gives one user 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day, with the browser extension, the search portal and a trial of premium features. It is enough to check the data on people you already know, not to run a daily prospecting routine.
How many users can use a ContactOut plan?
One. Free, Email and Email + Phone all show a “1 user per company limit” on the pricing page. Teams go to the Team / API plan, which is priced by quote and includes team management, reports and a dedicated account manager. ContactOut does not publish a per-user price for it.
Does ContactOut offer annual pricing?
Not on its pricing page. ContactOut shows only monthly prices, and team and API customers sign a separate subscription agreement. Ask for any annual price in writing, along with the price you will renew at once the “Limited time only” offer ends.
Is ContactOut pricing cheaper than Scalelist?
Yes, for one person at list price. For 500 emails and 100 mobiles a month, ContactOut Email + Phone costs 99 USD against 199 USD on Scalelist; for 300 mobiles, 99 USD against 349 USD. Scalelist has no seats, charges only for what it finds and never adds the data you submit to its database.
