Email extractor extensions compared, part 2: RocketReach, Skrapp.io, Surfe, Kaspr, Wiza and GetProspect by pages supported, entry price, mobile numbers and charge on a miss
Kaspr, Surfe and Wiza are built for social profiles, so they cannot help when you are on a company’s own website.

What is an email extractor extension?

An email extractor extension is a browser add-on that finds the work email addresses of people linked to the page you are viewing, usually a company website or a person’s profile, then verifies them and saves them to a list or CRM. Some, but not all, also return mobile numbers.

They come in two kinds. Website-first extensions, like Hunter and Snov.io, read the company from the domain and list the people found there. Profile-first extensions, like Kaspr and Wiza, only work on LinkedIn pages. Several, including Scalelist, Apollo.io, Lusha, ContactOut and Skrapp.io, work on both company websites and profile pages.

How email extractor extensions work in 4 steps: open a company website or profile, the extension reads it, finds and verifies emails and mobiles, then saves or pushes them
Step 3 is where the tools differ: whether emails are verified, whether you get a mobile, and what a miss costs.

If you research accounts on their own websites, a website-first email finder extension saves you a step: you open the company you already care about and see who works there.

How we picked the best email extractor extensions

We ranked each extension on how well it turns the page you are on into a contact you can email and call, using only facts each vendor publishes.

  • Where it works: company websites, profile pages, or both, from the vendor’s Chrome Web Store listing.
  • Verification: whether each email comes back verified, with a status, before you use it.
  • Mobile numbers: sold or not, and what one costs in the vendor’s own credits.
  • Charged on a miss: whether you pay when nothing is found.
  • Entry price and billing: the cheapest monthly plan, and whether it is priced per seat.
  • Where the list goes: export and CRM push.

We did not use star ratings or install counts, and we did not run all 12 extensions ourselves. Coverage numbers appear only for the three vendors in our own published benchmark.

The 12 best email extractor extensions in 2026

Each extension below is covered with the same seven fields, in the same order, so you can compare them line by line.

1. Scalelist

  • What it is: An AI lead finder whose Chrome extension, “Scalelist – Email & Phone Finder”, finds verified work emails and mobile numbers for prospects on company websites and profiles.
  • Where it works: Company websites, where it reads the company from the domain and lists the people found there, and professional profile pages.
  • Pricing: 20 free credits on signup, no credit card. Paid plans start at 29 USD a month for 500 credits. Each lead extracted costs 1 credit, including the search for their work email.
  • Mobile numbers: Yes, 20 credits per mobile found.
  • Charged on a miss: No. A mobile that is not found costs 0, and a lead you already have is not charged twice.
  • Best for: SDRs and founders who want to call and email the people at the accounts they are researching.
  • Where it falls short: For email-only volume it costs about twice as much per email as Hunter, and heavy calling needs a bigger plan because each mobile is 20 credits.
Scalelist email extractor Chrome extension panel on a software company's homepage: industry, Add to company list button, location, founding year, headcount and revenue
Image from the Scalelist extension page (marketing composite): on a company homepage the panel starts with the account, then lists the people found there.

Every email comes back labelled Valid or Risky, and lists go to CSV or Excel, to HubSpot, or to lemlist, Instantly, Smartlead, Woodpecker or Saleshandy. The Scalelist Chrome extension page shows the full flow, and our website email extraction tutorial runs it on a real company, from install to exported list.

2. Hunter

  • What it is: An email finder, email verifier and cold email tool; its extension lists the email addresses tied to the website you are on.
  • Where it works: Any website. Domain Search lists the addresses for the site you are visiting, and Email Finder takes a person’s name.
  • Pricing: Free plan with 50 credits a month. Starter is 49 USD a month for 2,000 credits, or 34 USD a month billed yearly. 1 credit per email found. See Hunter’s plans in detail.
  • Mobile numbers: Not sold. Phone numbers only appear on some personal-email results.
  • Charged on a miss: No. An email that cannot be found costs nothing.
  • Best for: Email-only prospecting on company websites at a low price, with unlimited team members.
  • Where it falls short: No mobile numbers, and verifying an address you already have costs 0.5 credit whatever the result.

3. Apollo.io

  • What it is: An all-in-one sales platform with a contact database, sequences and a dialer; the extension brings its data into the tools you work in.
  • Where it works: Gmail, Google Calendar, Salesforce, HubSpot, any company website and LinkedIn.
  • Pricing: Free plan with 75 credits per seat a month on monthly billing. Basic is 65 USD per seat a month (49 USD billed yearly) with 2,500 credits per seat a month. 1 credit per email. More in Apollo.io credits and plans.
  • Mobile numbers: Yes, 8 credits per phone number.
  • Charged on a miss: No for Apollo’s own data. Some connected enrichment sources charge per lookup even when they find nothing.
  • Best for: SMB and mid-market teams that want data, sequences and a dialer in one per-seat tool.
  • Where it falls short: A phone number costs 8 times an email, credits for mobile numbers are never refunded, and the Organization plan is annual with a 3-seat minimum.

4. Lusha

  • What it is: A self-serve B2B contact data platform with a browser extension, web app and API.
  • Where it works: Social network profiles, company websites, Gmail and Google Calendar, and your CRM records.

  • Mobile numbers: Yes, 5 credits per phone number.
  • Charged on a miss: Partly. CSV rows with no match are free, but API requests cost at least 1 credit and bulk reveals charge for partial results.
  • Best for: Individual reps and small teams who want month-to-month access to emails and direct dials.
  • Where it falls short: A phone costs 5 times an email, unused credits reset at the end of an annual plan, and teams above 5 users must go through sales.

5. Snov.io

  • What it is: A sales suite that combines an email finder and verifier, a prospect database, cold email and a simple CRM.
  • Where it works: Any website, Google search results and professional networks.
  • Pricing: A free trial of 50 credits that renews every 30 days. Starter is 39 USD a month for 1,000 credits, or 29.25 USD a month billed yearly. 1 credit per prospect found with a valid or unknown email.
  • Mobile numbers: Yes, through phone enrichment paid in tokens bought separately, at 0.02 USD per token and 10 or 22 tokens per prospect.
  • Charged on a miss: No. No credit is used when no email is found, and emails that fail verification are not charged.
  • Best for: Small teams that want email finding and cold email in one subscription, with unlimited seats.
  • Where it falls short: Phone tokens are a separate purchase that expires after 90 days, phone enrichment is not in the API, and phone results can be thin in South America and Asia.

  • Charged on a miss: Not published.
  • Best for: Individual recruiters and sellers who want flat-price lookups within a monthly export cap.
  • Where it falls short: One user per company on the self-serve plans, exports capped at 300 or 600 a month, and the lower advertised prices exclude US and UK data.

7. RocketReach

  • What it is: A self-serve contact lookup tool that returns verified emails and, on higher plans, mobile and direct phone numbers.
  • Where it works: Social media sites and company pages, per its store listing.

  • Best for: Reps who want contacts pushed straight into HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive.

10. Kaspr

  • Best for: European teams that want a fixed monthly phone allowance; its listing describes the database as European-centric.
  • Where it falls short: No help on a company website, an account needs a LinkedIn profile with at least 20 connections, and California residents cannot log in, per its help center.

11. Wiza

  • What it is: A prospecting platform and Chrome extension that finds and verifies emails and phone numbers in real time.
  • Where it works: Profiles and searches on professional social networks, mainly LinkedIn. Its listing does not name company websites.

  • Where it falls short: Per-user pricing, “unlimited” annual plans capped at 2,500 exports a month, and no help on company websites.

  • Where it falls short: Only 5 phones a month included, company websites need a name first, and the phone credit rules are not published.

Why Scalelist is the better fit for teams that call and email

If your team calls as well as emails, Scalelist is the better fit: it returns a mobile from the same click, works on company websites, and charges only for what it finds.

North America benchmark for email extractor extension vendors: Scalelist 92% emails and 87% phones found, Apollo.io 77% and 50%, Hunter 57% with no phone product
Our own test, published with the raw data: Scalelist found the most phone numbers, and Hunter sells none.

In our benchmark, we ran the same list of founders through 8 data providers in 4 regions. Three of the 12 extensions here were in it. In North America, Scalelist found an email for 92% of the list and a phone number for 87%, Apollo.io 77% and 50%, and Hunter 57%, with no phone product. The raw data is in our B2B data provider comparison.

  • One click, both channels. The email and the mobile come from the same extension, so you do not need a second tool for the number.
  • A predictable cost per mobile. Mobiles cost 20 credits each, so on the 5,000-credit plan (199 USD a month) one mobile is about 0.80 USD, and a mobile that is not found costs 0.
  • No seats and no contract. One account, monthly billing, and the lists go to HubSpot or your sequencer through the Scalelist integrations.

Scalelist is not the best choice for everyone. If you only need emails at volume, Hunter’s Starter plan works out to about 2.45 cents per email credit, about half of Scalelist’s 4.9 cents on its 1,000-credit plan.

If you want data, sequences and a dialer in one seat, Apollo.io bundles all three. And if you need contacts for thousands of rows, an extension is the wrong tool: upload the file to the Mobile Finder or call the Scalelist API.

How to choose an email extractor Chrome extension

Choose an email extractor Chrome extension by the job it has to do this month: which pages you work from, and whether you need to call.

Decision tree for choosing email extractor extensions: Scalelist for emails and mobiles, Hunter or Skrapp.io for email only, Apollo.io for an all-in-one seat, Lusha for Gmail and CRM
Start with the job in front of you; you can add a second tool once the first one pays for itself.
  1. Name the page you research from. If it is a company’s own website, rule out the tools built only for social profiles.
  2. Decide if you will call. If yes, compare the cost of one mobile in dollars, not in credits: a credit is worth a different amount in each tool, so price 20 Scalelist credits, 8 Apollo.io credits or 5 Lusha credits on the plan you would actually buy.
  3. Check what a miss costs. Prefer tools that charge only when they find something, and read the fine print on bulk and API lookups.
  4. Count the seats. Per-user pricing (Apollo.io, Surfe, Kaspr, Wiza) adds up fast for a team of five.
  5. Test before you buy. Run 20 contacts you already know through your top two picks and compare what each returns. Our guide on measuring contact data quality shows how to score the test.

FAQ

What are the best email extractor extensions?

The best email extractor extensions depend on the job. For verified emails plus mobile numbers on company websites, Scalelist. For low-cost email-only lookups on any website, Hunter. For data, sequences and a dialer in one per-seat tool, Apollo.io. For emails and direct dials inside Gmail and your CRM, Lusha. Compare them on where they work, the cost of a mobile and whether a miss is charged.

Which email extractor extensions work on company websites?

Eight of the 12. If you want a Chrome extension to find email addresses on a company’s own website, Scalelist, Hunter, Snov.io, Apollo.io, Lusha, ContactOut, RocketReach and Skrapp.io all work there, according to their Chrome Web Store listings. Kaspr works on LinkedIn only, and Surfe and Wiza are built for social network profiles. GetProspect works on LinkedIn and, on other websites, needs you to type a person’s name first.

Which extensions find mobile numbers, and what do they cost?

Scalelist (20 credits per mobile found), Apollo.io (8 credits), Lusha (5 credits), Surfe and Kaspr (1 mobile or phone credit, with monthly caps), Wiza (100 a month on Starter, then 0.35 USD) and RocketReach and ContactOut (on their 99 USD plans). Snov.io sells phones as separate tokens. Hunter and Skrapp.io do not sell mobile numbers.

Do you pay when an extension finds no email?

Usually not. Scalelist, Hunter, Skrapp.io, Snov.io, Surfe and GetProspect (for emails) charge only when something is found, and RocketReach refunds an empty lookup. Lusha charges at least 1 credit per API request, and Apollo.io’s connected enrichment sources can charge per lookup. ContactOut and Kaspr (for the extension) do not publish a rule.

Can I try these extensions before paying?

Yes. Every extension in this list has a no-cost starting tier. Scalelist gives 20 credits on signup with no credit card, Hunter and Skrapp.io 50 credits, Snov.io a 50-credit trial that renews every 30 days, Lusha 40 credits a month and RocketReach 5 lookups. Use the trial on contacts you already know, so you can check the results.

Looking up a business contact is common practice, but how you store and contact people is regulated. If you contact people in the EU, the GDPR applies, and people have an unconditional right to object to direct marketing. In the US, follow CAN-SPAM for email. Our guide to GDPR and B2B contact data covers the basics. This is not legal advice.

How accurate are email extractor extensions?

Accuracy varies by tool and region, and few vendors publish comparable numbers. In our own North America benchmark, Scalelist found an email for 92% of a founder list, Apollo.io 77% and Hunter 57%. Found is not the same as deliverable, so prefer tools that label each email, such as Scalelist’s Valid and Risky, and test on your own accounts.
