Hunter costs $34, $104 or $209 per month on annual billing, or $49, $149 and $299 monthly. Seats are unlimited and free on every tier, which is unusual in this category. The real ceiling is credits, and the limitation that catches most buyers is simpler than any pricing detail: Hunter has no phone numbers on any plan.

Annual billing takes 30 percent off and releases the full year of credits up front. Note that any guide still describing a Hunter Business plan, or separate search and verification quotas, is out of date. The current structure is Free, Starter, Growth, Scale, Enterprise on a single credit pool.
Seats are free. Credits are the real price.
Hunter does not charge per user. A ten-person team on Growth pays the same $104 a month as one person on Growth. That is the strongest argument in Hunter’s favour and the thing per-seat rivals cannot match at this price.
What actually limits you is the credit pool, and it meters two different actions:
- Finding an email costs 1 credit, charged only when an address is returned.
- Bulk Domain Search returns up to 10 emails for 1 credit, which is the cheapest way to use the product by a wide margin.
- Verifying an email costs 0.5 credits. Verifications that come back unknown are not charged.
Cost per found-and-verified contact
The number most people get wrong. Finding an address and then explicitly verifying it costs 1.5 credits for that one contact, not 1.
| Plan | Credits / month | Find only | Find + verify same contact | Cost per verified contact |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 50 | 50 | ~33 | n/a |
| Starter | 2,000 | 2,000 | ~1,333 | ~2.6 cents |
| Growth | 10,000 | 10,000 | ~6,666 | ~1.6 cents |
| Scale | 25,000 | 25,000 | ~16,666 | ~1.3 cents |
What is not in the sticker price
- No phone numbers on any tier. Not on Starter, not on the $209 Scale plan. A calling motion needs a second provider on top.
- Sending account slots, not seats, force the upgrade. Starter caps at 3 connected inboxes. Teams running four or more jump to Growth for the accounts, not the credits.
- Extra inboxes are an add-on from $10 a month each.
- Credit packs expire after three months and are non-refundable, so they suit spikes rather than steady volume. For recurring need, upgrading is cheaper.
- Annual credits expire at the end of the twelve-month cycle.
Who each plan is actually for
- Free: testing, or a few contacts a week.
- Starter ($34): a single operator under roughly 1,300 find-and-verify contacts a month, running three inboxes or fewer.
- Growth ($104): the realistic plan for an active team, mostly because of the jump from 3 to 10 sending accounts.
- Scale ($209): up to 20 inboxes or roughly 16,000 verified contacts a month.
- Avoid Starter if you run four or more inboxes. The cap forces an upgrade within weeks.
Where Scalelist sits on this
Hunter and Scalelist solve adjacent problems. Hunter finds and verifies email and sends the sequence. Scalelist finds the leads themselves from a plain-English description and returns verified emails and mobile numbers. If the gap in your stack is phone data, that is the difference that matters, because no Hunter tier includes it.
| Monthly credits | Price / month |
|---|---|
| 500 | $29 |
| 1,000 | $49 |
| 2,000 | $89 |
| 5,000 | $199 |
| 10,000 | $349 |
| 20,000 | $649 |
One credit finds a lead, one credit returns a verified email, twenty credits return a verified mobile number. You are only charged when something is actually found. Annual billing is two months free and unused credits roll over up to twice your monthly allowance.
