Mean Green Mowers

Mean Green introduced the world’s first commercial grade, electric zero-turn mower over a decade ago in founder Joe Conrad’s garage. Operations soon moved to the small agricultural town of Ross, Ohio. And in 2022, we opened a brand new 100,000-square foot facility in nearby Hamilton, Ohio to help us keep up with the growing demand for our products.

Our mission is a simple one and it is reflected in our tagline: Commercial Grade. All Day Power. We build lawn mowers for the commercial user who requires equipment that runs all day, every day, with little to no maintenance. While we are pleased with the eco-friendly nature of Mean Green Mowers (no gas, no fumes, and much quieter operation), we understand that that is secondary to landscaping professionals who need to justify their investments. We believe the business case for switching from gas to electric power is a sound one and invite prospective customers to use our online calculator to make a detailed comparison where they are in control of all the assumptions and inputs.

In 2020, Mean Green was acquired by Generac Power Systems (NYSE: GNRC), a leading energy technology solutions company that provides backup and prime power systems for home and industrial applications, solar + battery storage solutions, virtual power plant platforms and engine- and battery-powered tools and equipment.
