Oorah’s mission is to give Jewish children and families a chance to have a share in our heritage. Founded in 1979 by Rabbi Chaim Mintz, Oorah has become the prototype of Jewish outreach, providing year-round activities and educational opportunities for Jewish families everywhere. Oorah Inc is a non-profit Jewish organization providing year round activities and educational opportunities to Jewish children and Families. From summer camps and weekend retreats to tutoring and adult learning opportunities, Oorah runs 49 different programs each addressing a specific need in the Jewish community.
