WTOC-TV signed on the air February 14, 1954, the very first television station in Savannah, Georgia. WTOC has been a CBS affiliate from day one. It is the number one station in Savannah, not only in sign-on date, but in viewers and community involvement.
WTOC televises and live streams a total of 8 hours of live local news daily, considerably more than any other local media outlet, and well above the expectation for a station in the 87th television market.
