Cookie Policy
About this Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Scalelist uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It applies to our website at scalelist.com and to our platform at app.scalelist.com.
It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
Scalelist is a service operated by TGID Export Pte. Ltd., 21 Collyer Quay, #02-01, Singapore 049320, UEN 201903371H.
1. WHAT COOKIES ARE
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
This Policy also covers similar technologies that achieve comparable results, including pixels, tags, local storage, and device recognition techniques. Where this Policy refers to “cookies”, it refers to all of these.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser; or
- Persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period.
They may be set by Scalelist (first-party cookies) or by a third-party provider whose service we use (third-party cookies).
2. YOUR CONSENT
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Until you give that consent, non-essential cookies are not set.
You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookie Settings, available at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it.
We keep a record of your consent choice so that we can demonstrate it was given, and so that we do not ask you again on every visit. That record is retained for 12 months, after which we will ask you again. Our consent management is provided by CookieYes.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, because the website and platform cannot function without them.
3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE
3.1 Strictly necessary
These are required for the website and platform to operate. They cannot be switched off.
| Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|
| Authentication and keeping you signed in | Scalelist |
| Session management and security | Scalelist |
| Load balancing and service availability | Scalelist, SiteGround |
| Recording your cookie preferences | CookieYes |
| Protecting sign-up and public forms against automated abuse | Cloudflare (Turnstile) |
| Detecting fraudulent and duplicate account registration | Fingerprint (FingerprintJS) |
The last two involve reading characteristics of your device. We treat them as strictly necessary because they protect the security of the service and prevent abuse of our free trial, and the service could not be provided securely without them.
3.2 Analytics
These help us understand how the website and platform are used, so we can improve them. They are set only with your consent.
| Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|
| Website and product usage measurement | Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) |
| Session analytics and interaction recording | Microsoft (Clarity) |
| Website traffic measurement | Ahrefs |
Google Tag Manager is a container that loads the other tags we use. It is governed by your choices in each category, tags in a category you have declined are not loaded.
Microsoft Clarity records interactions with pages, including mouse movement, scrolling and clicks, in order to show how pages are used.
3.3 Marketing and advertising
These are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant advertising on other platforms. They are set only with your consent.
| Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|
| Advertising measurement and audience building | Meta (Meta Pixel) |
| Advertising measurement and audience building | LinkedIn (Insight Tag) |
| Affiliate and referral attribution | Rewardful |
4. THE FULL LIST OF COOKIES
The individual cookies set on your device, including their names, purposes and durations, are listed in our cookie preference centre, accessible via Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page. That list is maintained automatically so that it reflects what is actually in use.
5. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Where a cookie is set by a third-party provider, that provider processes the data it collects in accordance with its own privacy policy, and in some cases for its own purposes as an independent controller. We encourage you to consult the policies of the providers named above.
The third parties we engage are listed at scalelist.com/sub-processors.
6. CONTROLLING COOKIES THROUGH YOUR BROWSER
In addition to our cookie preference centre, most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. These controls are usually found under Settings, Preferences or Privacy.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the website and platform from working, including signing in.
Deleting cookies also deletes your recorded cookie preference, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
7. DO NOT TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted, and we do not currently respond to them. Your cookie preferences set through our preference centre are honoured regardless.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use, or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will ask for your consent again. The date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised.
9. CONTACT
Questions about this Policy, or about how we use cookies, can be sent to privacy@scalelist.com.
You may also request removal of your data from our database at scalelist.com/opt-out.
